Can a piece of clothing really change your life? If said apparel features three wolves howling at the moon, then the answer is undoubtedly “yes.” Don’t believe us? Just check out the Amazon reviews for the spectacular Three Wolf Moon t-shirt.
Designed by Bulgarian artist Antonia Neschev, this extremely fashionable shirt is produced by The Mountain, a New Hampshire-based company that offers a variety of nature-oriented graphic tees. The shirt has been reviewed thousands of times, and the overwhelming majority of these reviews mention life changing events occurring upon purchasing it.
It all started back in 2008, when Brian Govern, then a law student at Rutgers University, was searching for a school book on Amazon. He stumbled upon the Three Wolf Moon t-shirt from an Amazon recommendation. Even though he did not own the shirt, he decided to write a review for it.
In his faux-review, he comments on all of the women that suddenly became interested in him once he put the shirt on, ultimately leaving us with this:
Pros: Fits my girthy frame, has wolves on it, attracts women
Cons: Only 3 wolves (could probably use a few more on the ‘guns’), cannot see wolves when sitting with arms crossed, wolves would have been better if they glowed in the dark.
Govern really started something special with that review. Soon, the page would become flooded with similar reports, all raving about the magic of the howling wolves. The Three Wolf Moon shirt eventually took on a life of its own, becoming a viral sensation.
Today, the shirt continues to bring good fortune and magic to many that are lucky enough to wear it.
