The next day, the Rainbooms met at Applejacks farm to practice the counter spell in the morning before the first round.Though things weren't going well at all,As they practiced it was revealed to everyone that twilight...wasn't a singer,her notes were off key. And it was getting tiring to watch as Y/N,spike and sunset looked on,once they finished,they walked over to give some encouragement.

Y/N:Dash,were all trying,we just need a bit more practice.Besides,we don't have to play the spell immediately,if we can win a few rounds we can buy ourselves some more time.
 
Rarity:Well I was thinking we could take a short brake and try on these costumes I brought!
She said going outside for a bit and pulling back in some clothing racks with herself dressed in a different outfit.

After a bit more practice time,they headed to the gym,that was repurposed to be a stage for the event.Snips and snails walked up wearing low hanging pants,sun glasses,and backwards hats,Y/N and co. Instantly thought this was gonna be bad...And it was,they started singing some rap song they made up with really no rythem whatsoever.The audio slashing was over and they dropped the microphones in the ground,making a ringing sound and everyone covered their ears.The twin principals were not happy

Then the Rainbooms were up on stage. They started playing their song and in the first half it was going really well,they were very good.Hitting all the notes perfectly.Until up above the stage Photo finish and her band got some magnets and started aiming them at rarity,making her raise her arms up and makes it hard to play her keyboard.Y/N noticed this via sensing their energy.He stops playing for a second and shoots a super small ki blast at the magnet,making it fall out of their hands.Allowing rarity to play normally again.But this was only the first of the sabotages.Next was snips and snails.Feeling bitter that the next act was doing so much better they started shining a stage light at Fluttershy,taking advantage of her shyness and stage fright. When the light went on her she got scared and stored to run from it as they followed her with it.Y/N was starting to get ticked off a bit now.
 
Y/N:(Seriously? You guys can't even have a fair fight?)
 
He shot another blast near the duo,spooking them and making them run off,after that pinkie tried to liven up the performance by shooting a confetti cannon.but it shot in their instruments messing them up eventually they got it out and.with that taken care of. They finished the song and got off stage.
 
Rarity:Well...that could have gone better
 
AJ:Yeah,were ya trying to make us look bad?!
 
Rarity:I-wh-this was an of sabotage!
 
AJ:Yeah well this would've happened I'd you hadn't dress like...that! We need to sound good not look good!

After that they group walked out to go practice with sunset lagging behind a bit. As she did she saw the Dazzlings out of the corner of her eye looking at her with smug looks.She walked over to confront them

Sunset looked down in sadness and doubt for a second when she felt a hand touch her shoulder.She turned around to see Y/N standing behind her.
 
Y/N:I don't pity her at all, none of us do.She's amazing,sure she used to be bad and made bad decisions but she's changed,she's gotten stronger physically and mentally.She's our friend.

They walked away.Y/N looked at sunset with an endearing smile.
 
Y/N:You are a great friend to me and certainly not unless.Without your talent. I couldn't have pushed myself this far and gotten this strong.Cmon,everyone's waiting for us.
