This grill is awsome. Very easy to use and all the extra options make it the perfect grill to cook everything on.

This grill is great so far. Set it and forget it smoking. No managing temp. Heats up quickly. App connection has not been an issue. Haven’t tried leaving the house but I’m sure my wife wouldn’t let me leave the grill on by itself at this point. Charcoal consumption is better than traditional grill. Great grill that has replaced my gas/charcoal/smoker grill in one unit.

Unreliable temperature control

I bought this as a birthday gift for my husband and he will not give up on fixing it He buys replacement parts and supplemental temperature controllers and is at it again for the 4th time. Original problem was temp controller (had to order a replacement) and then there were problems with door switch failure. Currently it's inaccurate temperature readings by 50F. June will be one year since we bought it. I would return it but it's too late. Good food when he babysits it. Ugh!

Quality

I purchased this item September of 2023 and only used it a handful of times in less than a year and the wall of the gravity fed chute is rusting out. My uncle also purchased this item and he is having the same issue. He purchased a steel plate to prevent further issues but disappointed when I kept it out of the weather conditions.

Waste of Money

I couldn't be less happy with my Masterbuilt 560. In hindsight I wish I would have spent the extra money to get the Traeger. The Led screen goes in and out of functionality without any visible reason why. The app and he grill no longer link up. I feel like I'm dealing with an old junker car that I have to kick start and pray that it works.

Best Smoker I've Owned

I believe this is the best smoker that I've ever owned I've had a masterbuilt gas 30 in and a pit Boss ultimate Memphis and this is best overall. I love that you can just set it and forget it. Everything that I have smoked or grilled we're done on the flat top has such phenomenal flavors. I can't wait to do the corned beef for St Patrick's Day this year on it.

MB800 Review

I love the flavors of the smoked food is much deeper than any pelt smoker. I'm looking to get another one for our cabin, so we do not have to load on trailor this spring and haul it to cabin.

Gravity series 800

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had my 800 for two years now. Absolutely love the thing. Sold my pellet grill and my Weber propane is now a dust collector. I will say it’s a little cheaply built in some areas however that doesn’t change my love for the thing. I think when more and more people get wind of the gravity series and how easy it is to use pellet grills will flood the secondary market and prices will plummet. They are no competition for the gravity series. Can’t wait for the xt model coming out in April.

Love the Bluetooth

You can smoke all kind s of food on it, I have been able to smoke meat falling of the bone ribs consistently and delicious or you can cook an awesome steaks on it. I love product and have talked about 2 of my friends into buying one after they seen what if could do.

My new favorite grill!

The best thing I did was ordered the add on pizza oven accessory and that has totally opened me to a whole new world. We have now been making homemade pizzas on it every Friday night as a family. Now we have friends and family wanting to come and share in it!

Great flavor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my Gravity 800 for about 3 months now and couldn't be happier. I've been grilling on gas for years mostly because of the convenience. Yet the flavor was always missing something and I knew it was the lack of charcoal. I grew up with charcoal kettle grills And the flavor couldn't be beat but charcoal take time mostly not to mention if I only want to grill 1 or 2 steaks I'm burnt thru a lot of charcoal. When I saw this product a few years back I was sold but life but busy. I finally got my hands on one and I'm so happy. The flavor is amazing and the start up and shutdown are simple and fast. long low and slow smokes are simple with so much flavor and color. I have a MB 30" vertical electric I don't think I'll use it again after the results I got from the Gravity series maybe for hanging sausage and meatsicks only. And the griddle worked flawlessly . My only request from Masterbuilt is please offer a full size warming rack for the center similar to the 1050 for more cooking space. and a water pan add on. I really recommend this unit

Awesome Grill

I had limited experience grilling before I bought the Masterbuilt 800 grill and this grill makes everything so easy. I have smoked brisket, pork, and grilled steak for the first time and everything has turned out amazing. I recommend this grill for people of all experience levels.

Perfect combination of flavor and convenience!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Succulent smoked brisket, amazingly seared steaks, and tender juicy chicken - all with the incredible flavor of REAL CHARCOAL! While I used a propane grill, for years I wanted a Traeger because of the convenience - but as soon as I saw the Masterbuilt Gravity Series Smoker + Grill I immediately knew it was the ultimate in grilling and smoking. The convenience of a gravity feed to keep the fire going at just the right temperature plus the wonderful flavor that real charcoal infuses is what we have needed for years! I'm so impressed with the temperature control, being able to go low and slow or high to sear. The large cast iron grate size provides plenty of room to feed the whole gang. The flat side is perfect for getting the quintessential grill marks and for preventing smaller food items from falling through. I have used this to cook chicken, steaks, brisket, pulled pork, etc. I also used it on my food truck for cooking satay skewers and cheesesteaks - both of which got rave reviews for the amazing flavor! I loved how quickly I was able to go from setup to grilling in a matter of minutes, then shut it down when it was closing time! Honestly I can't imagine a better grilling or smoking system!

Making Magic with smoke, no mirrors!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the 800 series back in the summer to get into smoking brisket and ribs. I’m a huge BBQ fan so making it home was to be my new hobby. This grill is magic. With the hopper and fan it’s easy to control the internal temps. The app makes it even easier. Although I’d love to see a few more features in the app such as an audible alerts. Everything I’ve smoked so far has been amazing and although the grill provides the magic, I get the credit. This grill is solid and made well. It’s easy to move with large wheels. It’s a great grill for newbies like myself and I highly recommend it.

Hopper with hole

The hopper has a hole in it where the metal became weak. Manufacturer says the exposed fabric is ceramic insulation. There is no telling how long i cooked food in it with that exoosed. Not only is it a fire hazard but probably not good for food or lungs. Asked for manufacturer to replace hopper. They refused. It is only 7 months old. Will have to return back to store since manufacturer does not stand behind their products. Poor quality, poor service.

Two Years Later

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In two years I had a problem with a switch (that was easy to fix) and the Bluetooth is a little suspect, Other than that, it cooks a good brisket, pork butt, and ribs, the only two reasons to own a smoker. I'm thankful that Masterbuilt included the griddle. It made me realize that a gridle is something that I would never use and they saved me a few hundred bucks. Here's to best part of the Gravity Series, when other people are having a discussion about their smokers, they are always talking about a pellet or an electric. The Gravity Series owners get to explain the workings of Gravity Series with a nice thick layer of condescension. And that my friends, that is better than any smoked meats..

Outstanding Gravity feed smoker/grill

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this grill to replace a pellet grill I had. I did some research on different brands, and I kept coming back to Masterbuilt. It was easy to assemble. As soon as I assembled it, I did the I initial burn. The following morning I was up by 3am and had a brisket on the smoker. It was the best brisket cook I have done at that time. The wood flavor was outstanding. I have since smoked all kinds of cuts of meat, chicken, grilled burgers and anything you can think of. I love the smoker. It is a perfect size for the wife and I. I purchased another one and gave it to my son. Keep up the great job making this smoker. I will definitely buy more products from Masterbuilt. I have included several photos of what I have smoked on my Masterbuilt.

Replaced my Gas Grill and Bullett Smoker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a gas grill enthusiast for decases and bought my first smoker, a bullett smoker, about 10 years ago. I had been using both very happily, but wanted to get a new smoker as the bullett took a lot of effort to keep at temperature. No such thing as set it and forget it. I did a lot of research on pellett smokers and electric smokers, but wasn't willing to trade in the charcoal/wood capabilities of my bullett. I came across the Masterbuilt Gravity Series at a local big box store and was intrigued. Went home and started researching them and decided on the 800 series because of the larger size and the griddle.I can now tell you the 800 is my new grill and smoker. I love the ease of use, the set and forget AND the wifi capabilities, I can monitor without being home! The 4 probe access is a +++ as well. I have had no issues with mine for the 2 years I have owned it other then the occassional start up timeout error. Which usually turns out to be my fault as I didn't ensure the starter fuel stayed lit before walking away. I highly recommend the Gravity series for ALL your backyard barbecues and smoke needs! I love smoking turkey and chicken!

Durable, Flavorful, and easy to manage 1050

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our grill store loves to work out our products to test them. The Gravity Series is an amazing grill at a great price point. I put it through the ringer. Took it to my neighborhood pool club where there are 10 guys that cook on it constantly throughout the summer. It is on its 4th summer with no repairs. It cooks for swim teams, lifeguards, birthday parties, and backyard grill lovers. The flavor of natural charcoal and wood mixed in intermittently is excellent. The versatility and range of temperature makes it a work horse. I also enjoy using the multiple grill layers to concentrate flavor is a big plus. Sausage on top, ribs in the middle, and chicken on the bottom is my favorite. If you put meats on the top and middle you can also drip it into a smoked cabbage tray. The only item that could use improvement is the size of the grease tray. With large cooks, I remove and put a bucket underneath. Overall, I have sold many of these to my friends and of them rave.
